Why we built Lore
We built Lore because we lived this problem every single day. We are a small team, and like a lot of teams now, we run almost everything through coding agents. The best work happened inside those sessions: the prompt that finally cracked a brutal bug at midnight, the skill someone wrote that saved the rest of us an afternoon, the reasoning behind a decision that never made it into a doc. And then it vanished, scrolled past in one person's terminal and gone by morning.
We kept solving the same problems twice. The knowledge that made us good was exactly the knowledge we were quietly throwing away. So we built the tool we wished we had: a place where a great session becomes a URL you can hand to anyone, a skill you write once and your whole team's agents pick up automatically, and a library that remembers how your team works. Lore started as our own fix, and it turned out everyone running agents has the same gap.
What Lore does
Publish a skill once and it syncs to every teammate's agent automatically, and Lore shows you exactly when it ran and whether it worked, across Claude, Codex, and Cowork. Run /share inside any session and Lore turns it into a URL your team can read: the prompts, tool calls, diffs, and the reasoning that produced the code. The result is one searchable home for how your team works with agents.
What we believe
- Private by default. Your sessions are visible only to you until you decide to share them.
- Your knowledge is yours. Trim, rename, change visibility, or delete anything you have shared, at any time.
- No new habits. Lore works inside the agents you already use. There is nothing new to learn and no workflow to change.
